NOTE
Due to health reasons, Paul Washer will not be able to speak at the Reformation Conference 2017. He suffered a heart attack on March 21st. By God’s sovereign provision he was rushed to the hospital where he received emergency medical care. We rejoice that he is currently recovering and kindly ask that you pray for Paul and his family. Travel

Arriving by Airplane

We suggest you arrive to Berlin Tegel International (TXL). From there you have a number of options to continue your travel to Wittenberg:

Option 1 (via train station)

  1. Take the TXL Bus from Tegel to Berlin Central Station (Hauptbahnhof): use this link to find your options.
  2. From there your main option is to continue by train: every hour at least one train leaves straight to Wittenberg (ICE: 40min; RE: 1:17h). Normal costs range between 21€ to 31€ depending on the type of train.
Regional Trains (RE) take longer and are cheaper.
Inter City Express (ICE) is the fastest but also the more expensive option.
You can use the page of the German Bahn to check for departure times (from “Berlin HBF” to “Lutherstadt Wittenberg”).
  3. optionallyRentCar: there are several rental stations at the airport (Sixt, Avis, Europcar, Hertz)

Option 2 (from Tegel)

  1. Rental Car: There are several rental stations at the train station (Sixt, Avis, Europcar, Hertz)
  2. Shuttle Service: there are options to rent a shuttle service from Tegel to Wittenberg

In case you arrive at another German airport you should look into getting a connection flight to Berlin Tegel, as train connections to Wittenberg are complex from western Germany. However, most German airports have good train connections, which you could use to travel to Berlin, or Wittenberg directly.

“Let the Word of Christ dwell in you richly… singing psalms and hymns and spiritual songs.” (Colossians 3:16)

Setting biblical truths to music is one of God’s ways to ensure that His powerful Word continues to transform our minds. The reformers knew this well, which led them to have a renewed focus on biblical truths in their music and brought about the revival of congregational singing. At the Hirtenkonferenz we have always let biblical truth be the focus of music.

As part of the Reformation Conference 2017 we are planning an amazing line-up of events. We are blessed to welcome a number of excellent choirs, an orchestra, a male conference choir, a choice selection of incredible performers, and our very own conference singing team. More teams will join us during the year.
